Toxic shame, a destructive path

Adriana Giotta by Helmut Newton

Toxic shame refers to a deep-seated feeling of unworthiness or inadequacy that can profoundly impact a person's self-esteem and mental well-being. It often stems from early experiences of rejection, neglect, or abuse and can lead to self-destructive behaviors and difficulty forming healthy relationships.

Therapy and self-awareness are key to addressing and overcoming toxic shame.
